Praha

First trip with the amigos? PRAHA

Totally incredible, totally didn't understand one word in Czech.  That's okay...

First night we got there, we checked into the Czech Inn (first hostel experience...incred).  We bought our metro tickets there, but they didn't tell us to validate them.  We'll get to that in a minute...

First thing we did there was eat a lateeeeee lunch, with a big ass beer.  First Taylor fell down the stairs, then we drank burr.

mug shot.

Explored a bit at night.  We didn't realize how small the city would be compared to Barcelona.  Kinda nice considering we had no idea how to utilize the public transportation.

The Prague Castle is in the back...in case you can't tell.

Then after a quick power nap at the hostel, we changed and went out.  It was raining...we should have turned back then. But alas...we did not.  Instead, we ventured off to meet NED, who is yet another quinni-pi.  However, little did we know, not only do you have to buy a ticket, but you also have to validate it.  We were unaware of this two step process as it is not like this in Barcelona.  That was unfortunate.  We were stopped by Czech Traffic Patrol, aka not real cops, and they pretended to not understand a word we said.  They kept insisting we pay a 700 krone fine EACH, however, none of us went out with that much money.  Luckily ( I suppose) they let us go with just paying for 3 fines instead of 4 (but not before we saw the woman place the money in her own wallet.  Needless to say we went home and went to bed.

The next day we woke up charged and ready to go.  Because we ventured off for a few hours alone and THEN took a three hour walking tour, I will spare the details of each and every minute and instead, do most of my talking through photography- as I am an artist and can do shit like that.

MORNING
Czech Inn had a bomb ass breakfast.  That's all we need to discuss about that

LATER MORNING
Spent too many hours at breakfast and missed 11am walking tour.  Fail.  Went straight across the river to the Lennon Wall.  Let the Lennon Wall montage commence-
 Vandalism

There's something in the distance.

Left room for Lennon (between Sam and Meag)

Biddy was appalled that someone wrote this.  Don't worry, we all ripped her a new one
before she could finish her sentence.
Gorgina.

Right next to the Lennon wall is a lock gate just like the one in Paris, only different.

To get back to the other side of the city we walked across the Charles Bridge.  The Charles Bridge is the oldest stone bridge in Prague.  We also obviously took this as an opportunity to take pictures of ourselves. We're girls and that's what we do so don't be offended.

Next the walking tour began.  Our tour guides name was Fillip and we will be loyal to him until the end of time.
Casually waiting in the old town square.

"Adam and Eve" towers.  The one on the right is a bit bigger than the one on the left.  Fillip explained that a legend is that the right one is bigger to represent Adam, protecting Eve (Pollet) from the wind.  That is sexist Prague.

Astronomical Clock.  Google it.

Statue of a dementor. I'm not kidding (yes I am). Please note Sam in the background.

The next five pictures were taken in the Old Jewish Quarter.  But you may have been able to guess...

One of my favorite things in Prague is a simple sculpture of a metronome on top of a hill which replaced a HUGE statue of Josef Stalin.  It ticks back and forth representing the time wasted during communism.  I took two pictures to prove it actually works, in case you didn't believe me.

After the tour was over- we searched for the brewery that made beer ice cream.  It sucked, don't try it.

Obviously later we had to Czech out the night life.  So we did a pub crawl, but only one that had a t-shirt.  Barcelona wins.  By a lot.  But it was still a lot lot lot of fun.  Here are pictures that prove how much fun we are.

The next morning we were up bright and early to get home.  We took public transportation.  I am mentioning this because I obviously have pictures I want to post.
